Pete Allen and Sean Moyses, The Two Beats are a unique musical act that plays the best output from composers from the 20's to the 50's, light classical and popular tunes and a fair smattering of British humour (George Formby, Clinton Ford and the like!) for a wholesome music show that can be presented on any stage, anywhere. With years of professional experience together they "click" both musically and socially - and that's important as it comes across to the audience. They play some of the most popular tunes from the jazz era such as "Hello Dolly", "What A Wonderful World", "When You're Smiling", "On The Sunny Side Of The Street" and the like but don't think that The Two Beats will just be playing Dixieland jazz - Pete is not aversed to playing the odd Country ballad on his clarinet and Sean has been known to venture into Classical pieces such as Hungarian Dance #5 on the banjo. Sean also uses an electric banjo/guitar hybrid called the Banjoline to get a smooth melodious sound that has been compared to Les Paul. Pete can also crank out some good old Rock 'n Roll licks on his saxophones...so be musically ready for the un-expected !
